Very dirty shingles in Tampa Palms that we cleaned this week.  This customer called us for an estimate and we had a project in the same neighborhood on the next block down from her.

In the bottom picture you will notice the pressure washed driveway and pavers. The shingles are clean and new and we provided the customer with a receipt for her homeowners association letter.

The shingles in the pictures were installed in 1993.  Prior to our chemical cleaning process, the homeowner used a pressure washer with a surface scrubber designed for concrete.  The man said that the algae came back very quickly once the rainy season started. During the application of our soap, we noticed you could see lines where the scrubber was used.  The lines or striping was caused by using to much pressure and broke the ceramic granules from the mat.  This will make the roof look black as the granules provide the color and also reflect the hot summer heat.
